
To lead and manage the Accounts Department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, timely closing of books, effective internal controls, and overall financial health of the organization. The role involves strategic planning, team management, and liaison with auditors, banks, tax authorities, and other stakeholders.
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations (AP, AR, GL, Bank Reconciliations).
Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Review ledger entries and ensure proper closing of books of accounts.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and systems.
Coordinate and oversee preparation of annual budgets.
Analyze variances between actuals and budget; recommend corrective actions.
Assist management in financial planning and decision-making.
Ensure timely filing of returns: Income Tax, GST, TDS, ROC, etc.
Handle statutory audits, internal audits, and tax audits.
Ensure compliance with Companies Act, Income Tax Act, and other applicable laws.
Design and implement financial policies, SOPs, and internal controls.
Monitor adherence to financial and accounting standards (IND AS/IFRS).
Mitigate financial risks through strong control mechanisms. 5. Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and manage the accounts team.
Allocate work, review performance, and conduct trainings.
Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Monitor cash flow, working capital, and banking operations.
Liaison with banks for loans, facilities, and reconciliations.
Optimize fund utilization and manage interest costs.
Work closely with Procurement, Sales, and HR for financial integration.
Review financial implications of contracts and business decisions.
Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations.

Preferred: Semi Qualified Experience Required
Minimum 5+ years in accounts/finance with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
